Lazyjacks (11/2017)
I added lazyjacks to make the process of dropping the main a little
less painful.
They are retractable so I only put them in place just before
dropping the main. The rest of the time they run along the boom to
the reef horns so they are out of the way.
After using them a while now, I realized it would be better to have
the aft-most attachment point a bit farther back than it is. Still,
given the main has full battens it does the job quite well so I'm
happy with the install. Flaking the main remains the most annoying
part of sailing but at least now I can drop the main quickly and
avoid the mess and lack of visibility while docking.
